Southern California native Russell Westbrook has been traded away from his hometown Clippers.

Westbrook, 35, is being traded to the Utah Jazz, ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

In exchange, the Clippers get Kris Dunn, and the two teams are exchanging second-round draft picks.

Though Westbrook, who is also a former Laker, is being traded to the Jazz, Woj said he’s expected to take a contract buyout and “eventually join the Denver Nuggets after clearing waivers.”

Westbrook, a former MVP and nine-time All-Star, has not won a title in his career, though he stands a decent chance with the Nuggets, who won the championship in 2023 and feature three-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
