Rain has been in the forecast for Southern California all week long, but forecasters have spent the past few days trying to figure out just how much will fall and when.

A motor officer with the Los Angeles Police Department was injured in a crash on the 405 Freeway near the Skirball Center Drive exit on Thursday night. Traffic was backed up for miles as authorities worked to clear the area.
