LACMA is known for its beautiful art, but it’s also a hub for free live music. Every Friday, Angelenos gather picnic-style for Jazz at LACMA, one of four music series offered by the museum. From Latin Sounds and Classical Around Town to Art & Music and the popular jazz series, LACMA celebrates Los Angeles by spotlighting local musicians and fostering community. They want visitors to see the museum as a welcoming space for everyone—not just an art museum, but a vibrant place where art and music come together to inspire and connect.

One person was taken into custody after they allegedly threw a bottle at Los Angeles Police Department officers following the L.A. Dodgers World Series parade which brought hundreds of thousands of people into the city center.

Video from Sky5 on Nov. 1, 2024, showed police officers in tactical gear marching in formation along the parade route where some rowdy fans remained after the parade had cleared.
