As a rainstorm arrived in Southern California Thursday, heavy snowfall blanketed local mountain communities, creating difficult driving conditions while attracting visitors looking to enjoy a day on the slopes.

Several people were injured after a hit-and-run driver plowed into a group of bicyclists in Boyle Heights. The incident occurred on Feb. 25 when over a dozen bicyclists were handing out red cards near Mariachi Plaza during a planned event about informing citizens of their rights when dealing with immigration authorities.
