Gayle Anderson reports on this July 4th, 2024, there is "The Ultimate Food Drive – Celebrate and Give," where Operation Warm Wishes plans to fill a U-Haul Truck with food to serve these groups who often face hunger on a daily basis. The event takes place at Tustin High School on July 4th, with food collection beginning at 6:00 AM.

The nonprofit organization says the goal of the holiday event is not only to provide nourishment but also to foster unity and empathy within the community. Aside from the food drive, attendees can enjoy music, free haircuts for veterans, giveaways, and much more.

A major disturbance involving hundreds of juveniles forced a busy shopping mall in Carson to close Saturday night.

The large gathering took place at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall at around 5:20 p.m. where a trash can was lit on fire and illegal fireworks were set off inside a store at the mall, deputies said.
