Dog spotted roaming atop Great Pyramid of Giza

A paraglider getting an aerial view of the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on Monday was surprised to see a dog atop the iconic giant pyramid. 

While he didn’t say anything in the video, Alex Lang turned the camera towards him as he was flying his paramotor and beamed, evidently happily surprised that he saw the canine.

Goat spotted on roof of Laguna Beach home

One homeowner received an unusual surprise when she noticed a goat had made its way onto the roof of her Laguna Beach home. The goat was part of a herd that was supposed to be clearing nearby fields and brush to help prevent wildfires. But it appears, at one point, the goat went rogues, broke away from its herd and enjoyed an adventure on its own.

Phillips 66 on Wednesday announced that it would cease operations at its Los Angeles-area refinery in the fourth quarter of 2025. The 650-acre refinery, located next to the 110 Freeway, has approximately 600 employees and 300 contractors. Lashier said the company would work with local officials to support the displaced workers during the transition.

Catholic Archdiocese of L.A. to pay $880 million …

A landmark settlement has been reached with the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles to settle more than 1,300 claims of childhood sexual abuse and assault.  

The agreement calls for the church to pay $880 million to settle 1,354 childhood sexual abuse claims filed against the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, according to a news release from attorneys representing the plaintiffs.
