The Norfolk Tides (0-1, 36-39) lost to the Charlotte Knights (0-1, 33-41), 4-2 in 10 innings, on Tuesday night at Harbor Park. Coby Mayo launched a game-tying solo home run in the eighth to send the game to extras, but the Tides fell to the Knights after giving up two runs in the top of the 10th.

The Supreme Court decided on Friday that cities can enforce bans on homeless people sleeping outdoors, even in West Coast areas where shelter space is lacking. The case is the most significant to come before the high court in decades on the issue and comes as a rising number of people in the U.S. are without a permanent place to live.

In a 6-3 decision along ideological lines, the high court reversed a ruling by a San Francisco-based appeals court that found outdoor sleeping bans amount to cruel and unusual punishment.

A high-speed pursuit ended in a violent crash, leaving four suspects dead and two innocent people injured in the Inland Empire Friday morning.

The pursuit began shortly before 2 a.m. when a Rancho Cucamonga deputy attempted to pull over a DUI suspect, a spokesperson for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department confirmed to KTLA.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued until it collided with another car at North Mountain Avenue and West 16th Street in Upland.

Three people died and two were injured, including a child, when a motorist suspected of DUI crashed in the San Gabriel Valley early Friday.

The violent collision occurred just after midnight when the driver slammed into multiple parked vehicles and a power pole on East Graves Avenue near Cecil Street in Monterey Park. Officers patrolling the area responded to the scene after hearing the collision, Monterey Park Police Department Captain Bill Cuevas said.
