A lunar eclipse will occur this Wednesday, Oct 8, from 2:15 to 5:34 AM PDT. The eclipse will reach totality at 3:25 AM and continue through 4:24 AM. Unfortunately viewing will not be the best in extreme Southwest CA as patchy low clouds along the immediate coast and scattered to broken mid and high clouds from Tropical Storm Simon will obstruct the view. Hopefully there will be enough breaks in the clouds to see the moon!
