Authorities are investigating after a young girl was found dead in Lancaster Saturday.
Los Angeles County deputies received reports of a child who was found unresponsive on the 44700 block of Stanridge Avenue at around 7:20 a.m.
Authorities arrived at the location where the young girl, who was not breathing, was pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the child’s death remain unclear however, homicide investigators will typically respond when the cause of death is unknown, authorities said.
No further details, including the child’s age, were released as the investigation remains ongoing.
