DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Before anyone knew which teams would kick off March Madness 2025, the staff at the University of Dayton Arena had installed the hardwood.

The men’s bracket in college basketball’s biggest tournament begins in Dayton, Ohio, on Tuesday night.

Sunday afternoon saw the setting of the court for the eight teams soon to be announced. You can see a slideshow of the court below.

Four games will take place between Tuesday and Wednesday, split evenly between the two days.

Known as the “First Four,” these games are between the four lowest-seeded automatic qualifiers and the four lowest-seeded at-large teams, the NCAA explains. Each subset plays each other to determine who moves on.

The First Four has always been hosted at the University of Dayton, except when the games were played at Indiana University and Purdue University in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Selection Sunday — or the setting of the bracket — begins at 5 p.m. CT.
