Federal authorities have arrested a Wisconsin-based judge amid an investigation into whether she tried to help a migrant lacking permanent legal status avoid arrest after he appeared in her courtroom. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested Friday on charges connected to obstructing a proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent their arrest.

LA County health officials are investigating a case of measles involving a resident who recently traveled from Texas. This, as an outbreak in West Texas has now ballooned to nearly 650 cases, and as public health experts warn that the viral infection could again become endemic, with some 850,000 cases possible in the coming years if vaccination rates don't change.
